Welab takes the protection of Personal Information seriously and employs procedures and safeguards to ensure its confidentiality and safeguarding. We require all employees, contractors and agents to comply with these procedures and safeguards. We may collect, use, and sometimes disclose different types of Personal Information for various purposes associated with our technology offering. In some cases, we collect Personal Information from third parties such as doctors, laboratories or regulatory and legal authorities.

Welab uses and discloses Personal Information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not sell any Personal Information we have obtained, but we may use and disclose Personal Information for the following purposes:

If you receive our marketing e-mail messages, you will be provided the opportunity to update your contact details and mailing list preferences or unsubscribe from our mailing lists altogether. Welab may also disclose Personal Information to organizations that perform services for us, such as medical professionals and laboratories. Personal Information will only be provided to organizations if they agree, by way of contract, to provide appropriate protection of the Personal Information.

Personal Information may also be subject to transfer to another organization through a corporate transaction such as a merger or change of control. This will occur only if the parties have entered into an agreement under which the collection, use and disclosure of the Personal Information is restricted to those purposes that relate to the business transaction, including determining whether or not to proceed with the business transaction, and is used by the parties to carry out and complete the business transaction.

Welab may collect Personal Information in different forms as permitted by law, but only for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy, or as permitted or required by applicable law. Your Personal Information will only be held as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected and those purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and as required by law. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, Welab will securely destroy, delete, erase or anonymize the Personal Information.

By providing Personal Information to Welab, you agree and consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information under this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not obligated to provide any Personal Information to us, but you may not be able to use Welab services

If you provide your Personal Information for one purpose, and Welab wishes to use your Personal Information for a different purpose, we will first obtain your consent, unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Please note that there may be occasion where the collection, use and/or disclosure of Personal Information may be permitted without consent in accordance with applicable law.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information at any time. However, revocation of your consent may prevent Welab from providing you products or services.

Welab has in place physical, procedural and technical security for the storage of Personal Information. We primarily store Personal Information in a secure cloud environment, with access permitted only to those individuals that have a need to know.

Personal Information will not be transmitted outside of Canada without notifying you first, and providing you an opportunity to revoke your consent, unless otherwise allowed by applicable law.

Welab allows you to update or correct your Personal Information by writing  [email protected]. We will permit you access to your Personal Information after verifying your identity to our satisfaction. In certain circumstances, we may not grant access e.g. where doing so would lead to the disclosure of Personal Information of another individual and that individual refuses to provide consent to the disclosure, in which case, you will be informed of the reason why your access request was denied.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 1, 2023. We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically, which will be notified through our application or via e-mail. Your continued access to and/or use of our services or the provision of Personal Information to us after such changes to our Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to the terms of the updated Privacy Policy.
